Residual Ghosts may be seen repeating the same actions over and over. They generally appear at regular intervals and can be observed by many different people. If you hear footsteps in the hall every night at midnight or are awakened by the sound of children playing at 4 AM, you may be experiencing visits by a residual ghost.
Bare in mind, the appearance does not have to be on a daily or even weekly basis. It may occur every spring or only during December. The key to a residual haunting is that the apparition (or sounds) follows the same pattern, repeating the same actions in the same location, time after time.
A residual ghost can not interact with you, in fact, does not even know you exist.
